Kids Discussing LOUDLY

I know that it has been a lot of decades since I have been a kid in particular the ages of nine and ten years old. I had completely forgotten about what is like to be that age and how loud kids are at that age. Although, I don't quite remember my sister and I talking quite so loud. Nevertheless, my son was outside playing with some of the neighborhood kids yesterday. One of them lives across the street from us and the other two were his cousins that come over every so often.

So, after one round of kickball and one round of me telling them not to even think about going in the sewer to get the ball that went in there they got another ball and proceeded to argue and talk loudly about who was going to do what who was on first, who was on third, who was at home etc..I thought I was listening to an Abbott and Costello movie at first. Well, they yelled their choices, argued more and proceeded to kick the ball to each other until one team declared that the other team was cheating because apparently the other team had better kickers. This went on for a little bit and then they split up. Two kids went one way and the so called cheaters, my son and one of the cousins, went the other way each team vowing never to talk to the other team again. I was secretly laughing because I knew it would only last a minute.

Before long both team players were back arguing over hide and seek. I swear these kids did more arguing then actual playing. I was thinking back to my childhood and realized that we did some arguing but we got over it quickly and did more playing. At least that is how I remember it 40 years later.

After a while, one of the teams had to go visit another relative so they left waving to the two boys left, my son and the cousin. My son and their cousin didn't argue as they played bey blade and played mine craft on the tablet. They were laughing and giggling and telling gross stories as they played.

After the cousin was summoned by his mom to go home I asked my son about all the arguing they were doing before and he looked at me with a puzzled look on his face, the what are you talking about look and said no they weren't arguing they were just discussing things loudly.

OK, I will go with that.
