Fly Away
I have always been a person that tries to help other people. So, when a cousin came to me and asked for help I didn't hesitate. Well, she wanted to look for place to live. I said sure let's see what I can find in my neighborhood. Well, there is one that is available next door in the next building and I told her and she jumped all over me saying she couldn't afford that rent and she wants a two bedroom not a one bedroom and her price that she can afford is only this. I am like wait a minute. Take a breath here. I told her that first of all she was not going to afford nothing on her price range but a room in someone's house if that and that would only be a room, a bedroom that would be shared, the rest of the house with others and so if she didn't appreciate my trying to help fine. This girl lives on fantasy island but I didn't say anything about that. (LOL)
So, today on my walk, my little walk I thought to myself I need to get a away from things and every day routines. This thought occurs to me a lot lately. But, unfortunately for now it is just a thought. I saw an old man walking to the store as I was coming from the store and he says to me oh he thought I was on vacation because he hadn't seen me in a while. I told him I wish I was. He laughed and said him too. So, I walked a little further to my house and was about a few feet away and I noticed this crow just sipping some water from the street. I don't know how the water got there but it was there. I looked at him and he looked at me and continued to sip and I told him he was lucky he had wings and could fly all over. If anyone would have heard me they would have thought I was nuts talking to a bird that can't talk back. Or in this neighborhood maybe they wouldn't. So, the crow as if he knew what I was saying turned around and took flight to place unknown to me.
I decided that today I am going to be like the crow. Not that I can fly anywhere but I can just sit outside and read a book which takes me away to parts unknown. At least until the neighborhood starts popping and everyone gets up and out and people start arguing and horns start blowing and kids start screaming. So, in my small window of time I will fly away like the crow, sort of.
