Classics

I have a early morning confession.  I have been watching late night classic television. I have rediscovered Bewitched, I Dream Of Jeanie, Rin Tin Tin, Too Close for Comfort,  Maude, Good Times, and Alfred Hitchcock Mysteries,  and The Benny Goodman show.   The reason I have rediscovered these shows and many more on classic television is because insomnia has discovered me. The sandman has been missing in action for the better part of last week.

I figured that if I turned down my newly acquired television volume down low enough at midnight I wouldn't brother anyone else while I was in classic TV heaven for however long it takes the Sandman to come. So far so good. Nobody else in the house has discovered my late night  classic television watching. Nor have they discovered my string of Christmas lights that I have added to the decor, or in my case lack of decor, in my room to better light the way to the kitchen when I have to quietly tiptoe there on occasion for a glass of something cold to drink and it also helps lighting my way to the bathroom after my couple glasses of ice water or lemonade kick in.

Needless to say I have gotten this late night thing down pretty well. So, if the sandman takes a while to come its fine I have my late night TV to keep me company. And if all else fails I guess I could count sheep or shows.
