Red, White and Blue

Happy 4th of July!

A couple of years ago my son and I were at the dollar tree. This is when he actually liked going shopping there with me. Most likely the reason was back then he was more into seeing the toy section and the candy section. Now, that he is older not so much. But, on this day he found these. I am not much into wearing flip flops. I never really did like them too much. But, he wanted these and for only a dollar I couldn't say no. They have only been worn probably 4-6 times since he got them. Most of the time he can't find them, typical around here. Today, they reminded me of the 4th. I think of the beach when I see them and I think of freedom. And I think of the what this day really means to me.
