Are You My Grandmother??

The other night my son woke up at 3am with a toothache. He took one Tylenol but it didn't help much so I knew that it was something more going on. He stayed awake until around 5am complaining and brushing his teeth and rinsing his mouth with mouthwash. He was up and I was up. The next morning I found him a dentist to take him too since his last dentist retired and closed his office. So, I found one close. Only problem was the dental insurance doesn't kick in until June 1st. So, this was going to be a out of pocket expense that I was not quite prepared for but I had to do find a way and I did. The receptionist said he can squeeze him in and that it would be $65 for x rays and a consultation. So, I asked if they took credit cards. (LOL) Well, we got there and in spite of the fact that the receptionist said they had a busy morning of appointments and we might have a long wait there was nobody in the waiting room and only one person in the back getting a filling replaced. I know this because she talked loud enough for me to hear her. And one dentist was there.

So after the x rays, the $65 and a two second consultation by the dentist who said that he has an infection and that he can save it or extract it, well, not him but with a dentist who did oral surgery  can do it which I would need a referral for, we were off with a prescription of antibiotics.  He has to take them before they can do anything else. We were off to fill the prescription at our local Safeway pharmacy which knows us very well because of the many times we had to have my mom's prescriptions filled. So, this is probably the first time that they saw, Josh, my son, and he is about as tall as I am now if not a inch or so taller and we are standing there while she enters it in the computer she looks up and says oh is this for your grandson? Now, I know that I was looking a bit rough because no sleep and all and probably massive non sleep bags under my eyes and I just kind of threw myself together not really caring too much because I was sleepy and tired and I might have been his grandmother if I would have had kids at 20 and they had kids at 20 but that is not the case. I had him at 40 and 12 years later I am looking like his grandmother to some people I need to find some anti aging cream and slather myself with it all over while searching for the fountain of youth if I am looking that bad. (LOL)

But, I didn't really trip over her grandmother comments and just shook my head and said no my son. So, ten minutes later and two roasted cooked chickens, two water guns on sale, and a pack of chocolate éclairs for me, hey "granny" needed something sweet. (LOL) we got the prescription and "Granny and grandson" were out of the store.

Today the real granny is at home complaining about everything like normal and when I say normal I mean before she had all these aliments she was a complainer big time and so when she complains I am thinking that is the mother/granny I know back in action if only for a minute or ten.
