Steps and Stairs and Walking
It's amazing how much junk that can be collected over the years. And how many junk discoveries that I have made over the past few days. We moved here about 7 or 8 years ago and I have found mail from our old address just things that should have been shredded years ago. My nephew got a new shredder and I have been busy just shredding. I have more to shred from today, yesterday and the day before, even the year before. I have a habit of just putting things to the side and letting the papers pile up in a shoe box. One shoe box down and two more to go.
Now, logically, I know that putting down some new cheap carpet is a grand idea but the reality is that it is killing me softly moving and sorting and walking and climbing up and down the stairs until my everything hurts. It reminds me that I am not as young as I used to be and have built a strong dislike for these steps and know that when I move I definitely don't want a house with any stairs. I just want to walk out of the door to the sidewalk no stopping to climb down anything. Plus my storage garage is 5 more steps or so from the steps so after the long climb down the stairs you have to walk more steps to the garage. I guess once this is over I will have legs of steel. lol Or just be out of shape and sore still. One or the other I will feel some pain by the time this new carpet is on the floors.
No pain no gain I guess but not sure this is what they had in mind. My son suggested that all houses with stairs need to have escalators. I can't say that I don't agree with him 800% about now.
