Haunted Kitchen, Maybe?
It's October and to me that means Halloween and my mom's birthday. When I was a kid, my sister and my cousins used to watch scary movies on TV, a show called Creature Features late night on Friday or Saturday. My oldest boy cousin used to get so scared he wouldn't even go to the bathroom by himself. His brother used to be the first one to fall asleep so he would miss the best part of the movie. Now, my cousin, Mario, he would be so scared he didn't even want to sleep as I said not even go to the bathroom by himself and the dark would scare him to death. We would have to seep with the light on when he was watching with us. Even to this day he still sleeps with a night light and he just turned 50 years old.
So, if he knew that I think that the kitchen here is haunted he would never come over here in the night time especially. I never saw a ghost or any spirits in the kitchen but every day several times per day when nobody is in there something will fly off the counter, fly off the top of the fridge or the dishes in the sink will rattle like someone is trying to wash them or placing a dish in the sink. Once a water bottle fell off the table on the floor and the bottle was nowhere near the edge of the table.
That made me come to the conclusion the kitchen is haunted. But, not a bad haunt. My brother passed away 3 years ago, here in this house, from a heart attack, he pretty much stayed to himself, one reason was because he has autism and another reason is because he was just the type of person who really did't want to be around too many people at one time. So, the majority of the day he would spend in his room, watching sports on TV and playing Playstation from time to time and he would come out of his room in the mid morning and make himself some breakfast, then around noon he would go back in the kitchen and make lunch and come out later in the evening for dinner. So, I am thinking that it is his spirit in the kitchen playing tricks, or joking around with all of us.
The kitchen wasn't "haunted" before he passed away so I think that it is him in there or his spirit just saying hello. Some people might think it is weird or I just miss him and want it to be him. That might be true also. But, it puts a smile on my face to believe that it is his spirit and that will always be around us.
