New Traditions
My son and I like the dollar store. He likes it because everything is a dollar and he is like a kid in a candy store whenever we go there. His eyes light up like a kid on Christmas morning unwrapping gifts. I like it because everything is a dollar and we are on a tight budget. Basically, the same reason. So, over the past couple of weeks or so we have been slowly buying Halloween decorations for the house. Mostly just to put on the front door and the windows. We made a mistake and got a decoration that we were supposed to assemble to put as a table decoration. I guess for a party, if you were having one. Both of us looked at it and didn't know what to do with it. We weren't having a party. We will be trick or treating in the neighborhood for an hour or two or until I get tired of walking up and down the stairs of 99 houses and pass out or he gets tired. Whichever comes first.
So, after we hung up the witch in the window in the living room, the pumpkin on the door, inside of the door and an assortment of ghosts, goblins, and other scary things in the rest of the windows and doors we were left with the table decoration. So, my son suggested that we cut it apart along the dotted lines and hang the pictures of the ghosts, goblins and pumpkins on the every window he could think of in our house. So, that is exactly what we did. We had fun doing it and might make it a new tradition for Halloween.
I am looking forward to Thanksgiving to see what our next new tradition might be. That is what is all about having fun and making new traditions.
