Trick or Treat
My son had a project for school. He had to make something for the red ribbon week which begins Wednesday. So, he made the project, a giant poster using some Halloween stuff we got from the dollar store. He used some skeletons and a fake grave marker, the ones that say RIP and have skeletons or them. His poster had the slogan on it that focused on what drugs can do to you if you take them. So, all he had to do was make the poster, take a picture of it and post it on the Schools website by next Wednesday and the finalists will be notified.
After all was said and done and written and photographed my son was eager to add the new decorations, the skeletons and the grave stone to the Halloween decorations that adorn every window and door already in our house. I was thinking where can he put them that doesn't already have an abundance of decorations already. I need not have been worried. He had it all figured out. He told me that the front door needs more. I told him that I don't think that we will get any trick or treaters since the porch light won't be on and there is the fact that we won't be here. His uncle will be here and his cousin but I don't see any one of them opening the door for any ghosts, gobblins, or anyone else anytime even on Halloween. So, he proudly told me that was fine nobody had to come he was sharing his decorations with everyone who happened to come to the door like the mail man delivering packages, the UPS man who may deliver something, the neighbors who live next door with the dog, the day care kids who play out in the front of the house sometimes, he just wanted to share a little bit of his Halloween with everyone.
So, now there hangs 2 more skeletons on the door and another witch and a RIP grave stone for everyone to see and enjoy courtesy of a special 8 year old.
