Early Morning "Night Owls"
I think that every person in my house has turned into night owls all at the same time. I don't know when this happened or maybe I am just not noticing it. But, last night the bathroom became the hot spot at 1 am. One person was in the bathroom and two more people had to use it and were screaming at the one person in the bathroom to hurry up and come out. The person in the bathroom in return screamed that he couldn't rush what he was doing and they would have to wait. Meanwhile, I am lying in bed on one of the hottest nights of the year sweating bullets or like my friend would say like an "oinker" trying my best to ignore all this bathroom 1 am drama. Well, after everyone got their chance in the bathroom I assumed that they all would return to their sleeping areas and go to sleep. I was wrong.
Nope, they were just getting started. My nephew turned on the TV in the front room and was cackling at whatever he was watching loudly and my mom in response to the cackling screamed at him to pipe down she was trying to sleep and in turn my son said now he couldn't sleep and wanted permission to watch a movie on his phone and promised to only watch 30 minutes of it, because according to him that is all the time he would need before he would fall asleep , and he promised to use the headphones so I would not have to hear it. Then if all that was not enough the neighbor's dog started barking and barking and barking. I figured that someone must have been around here somewhere like close to the parking lot. I was right when I heard helicopters circling most likely looking for the person.
About an hour later all was quiet again. I checked on all the people and all the people except the cackling one in the front room were sleeping. I crept back to my bed and turned my pillow to the cool side and lied down trying to salvage at least a few hours of sleep before it all started again at 8 am.
I did learn something about myself that once they were asleep I couldn't sleep. Go figure. I read one of my 20 million kindle books until my eyes got heavy and then finally I got 4 hours of sleep. Yay Me!!!
