Wig Shopping!

My sister decided she wanted a wig. For the last 40 plus years she has been wearing her own natural hair that God gave her but then about a year ago her step daughter cut it off. I do mean off, shorter then a crew cut. My sister never had long hair and she always had very thin hair and over time it grayed and wasn't as full as it was when she was 20. So, one day, I am unsure how this all happened, she decided to cut or chop it all off. Not only that but put some red dye on one side of the chopped off hair. It wouldn't have been a decision I would have made but when I saw it I just told her, "Oh you changed your hair." That was all I could say. Josh on the other hand asked her why did she do that to her hair and how could she. I told him to be nice that it was her hair and it looked okay and maybe she wanted to change it. So, he got the message and continued to play with Batman and Superman.

The next time she came over a week later her hair was different yet again. This time she had a weave. The weave consisted of black hair to her shoulders and a flower on one side of her head almost like you would see in the pictures of the women in Hawaiian Island advertisements. It was the same type of flower also. I told her the same thing as before about her change of hair styles. Josh didn't say a word and neither did my mom. They just continued doing what they were doing, playing UNO.

I thought that might be it for her as far as the hair went but oh now I was wrong. A month later a new weave appeared. This one was weaved by her step daughter who I really think secretly wants to be a beautician, and this one was reddish. No flower this time just a long reddish weave. My sister had it tied in a pony tail. All I could say was the same thing I usually said.

Then it happened. I got a call from her last week and she said she was at the wig store. I wasn't surprised. I haven't seen my sister's natural hair in a long time. So, she told me she was sending me pic of wigs she was considering. I told her I would get a dark or light brown one. She agreed and I was shocked. So, after she tried on a few in about 20 minutes the decision was made. She had a new wig and this time I can tell her it looks GREAT and sincerely smile.
