Not Ground Turkey Again!

Lately I have been eating so much ground turkey I think I might start talking turkey pretty soon. So, last night when I announced that it was turkey cheesebugar meatloaf for dinner eyes rolled and loud sighs of not turkey again filled the air. I told my family they didn't have a choice unless they wanted to cook for themselves. All of the eyes stopped rolling and the sighs and mumbles stopped and they carried on doing whatever they were doing before my dinner announcement.

I had never made cheeseburger meatloaf before but while I was scrolling for ideas for dinner using ground turkey I came across this one. It didn't seem hard to make and it seemed like something my family would eat without too much complaining or eye rolling. I had most of what was needed in the fridge and cupboards. Except for ketsup. We always have ketsup more of it then we use most times except for when I needed a half cup or so of it. I looked high and low for it. I gave up and asked my son if he knew it was. He confirmed what I already knew we were out. So, I had to improvise and use BBQ sauce since it is basically the same thing, jazzed up ketsup to me. I grabbed the bottle out of the fridge and shook it. Wouldn't you know it just not quite enough of what I needed. I shook my head and told them my family to please put things on the grocery list when there's like oh a teaspoon full left in the bottle. They looked up at me like I was speaking a foreign language and proceeded to continue watching television and watching YouTube videos online.
So, since I saw a full jar of pasta sauce that was the next best thing as far as I was concerned. Finally everything was mixed and in the oven which my son complained that I now made the house too hot with the oven on. My mom agreed. Now I rolled my eyes. About an hour later it was done and about half way through my son said it smelled good. He acted amazed that it would. Like his mom, me, couldn't cook. My mom agreed with him as she fanned herself. If we would have had AC it would have been turned on by my mom I am sure.

Well, my cheeseburger meatloaf made with ground turkey was a hit. I knew it would be.

Dinner tonight is a mystery as of right now but tonight the menu won't consist of anything ground. Tomorrow might be another story however.
