Easy Like a Sunday Afternoon
Today was a peculiar day, a crazy Sunday for me. Around 8 am I was lying in bed. Sunday's I get to sleep a little late because my nephew usually helps my mom with breakfast and dispenses her meds for the morning. So, I like to stay in bed as long as I can. My one day that I get to do that. So, I heard voices coming from the parking lot. Now that is not that unusual because the garbage bin is in the parking lot and I often hear people dumping trash and talking either on the phone or to each other. But, this time I heard dog voices, dogs barking. I know that a few people in the other building have dogs so I thought that they were just taking them out for walks or whatever. Then I heard commands being "barked" out by the humans. And from what heard the dogs were not obeying too much. That tempted me to get out of bed and try to look out of the window. I really couldn't see much because my window is sort of strange. I saw some dogs pulling their humans around the parking lots and the humans telling them to do this and that and clapping their hands. Then they all took the dogs and ran with them. I can only guess around the corner because in a few minutes all were back. This lasted about 45 minutes the clapping, the humans talking and the dogs talking. Then the humans thanked someone for the "training" lesson. I am not sure who got trained the humans or the dogs.
My mom actually had a great afternoon after a rough morning. Usually it is the other way around and my son learned to make frosting today out of confectioner's sugar. We both made cupcakes and I thought it was time he learned to make frosting when we had no store brought frosting and for him that was a big deal. He couldn't have been more proud of himself if he won an Olympic medal. We both got a little messy but well, sometimes the things that make the most messes are the funnest.
Now, it is a quiet Sunday evening. Except for the occasional car alarms going off. I can say that all in all it was a pretty good day.
