Christmas is Coming

Today I must admit I was looking forward to the meal on wheels delivery for my mom. Not because of the food which don't get me wrong is a big help and she eats it for lunch but there is this young man who for the past couple of weeks has peeked in and looked at the Christmas tree and he says Merry Christmas and tells me that Christmas is almost here and then he thinks for a minute and asks me if it is Friday. I kept telling him he was right it was on Friday coming up. He would smile and then tell his friend at the bottom of the steps. So, since Christmas really is this Friday I was looking forward to seeing him to tell him Merry Christmas and that Christmas is coming this Friday in a couple of days or so. But, he didn't come today. Two other people came. So, I told them Merry Christmas and they said the same and off they went dressed in Santa hats. 

Yesterday, there was a different one from the normal person too. I think because it was raining and the usual man who comes rides a bike and since it was raining he probably couldn't come so they sent someone who drives and I have saw this young man before too and he likes to talk in depth about the food and what food he is bringing and how to heat it and when you should probably eat it. It's about a 5 minute conversation at the door. I just nod in agreement and then he was off with one last Merry Christmas. 

Well, the next time I will probably see the young man who asks about Christmas is after Christmas the week of New Year's. Then we can talk about New Year's day coming on that Friday.
