The Pink Tree

A few years ago someone gave us a pink Christmas tree. It is an artificial tree of course and it is small about maybe 3 feet tall or so and for the last couple of years I have been putting up in the bedroom and my son decorates it with whatever we can find that is not on the other tree. Well, this year I thought that I lost the stand to the pink tree and it was sitting there peeking out of the box in the hallway until last night. My son asked if we were going to do something with the pink tree. I told him I couldn't find the rest of the stand. It has tree "legs" that you slide in the slots. I could only find two. So, he tells me that he saw the last leg in the toy box in the hallway. No telling how it got there.  So, I put the other leg on and now the pink tree is up with only some Christmas lights on it and two bulbs and some ribbon. I know it is not much but it is all we had. The rest of the decorations are on the tree in the front room. I don't think that matters much to him because he just wanted it up to look at. I guess we started a new tradition with the pink tree. He is a stickler for traditions I am noticing as he gets older.

The pink tree was going to go kind of in front of the window but that would involve moving the chair that is front of the window and the chair won't fit anyplace else because it is rather big so it sits near the chair near the window. If I get the chance to go to the dollar store and if by chance they have more decorations out I will get a few for the pink Christmas tree. If not, then it is good like it is and I will remember to get some more decorations for it for next Christmas.

Before my son was born I would have never thought that I would have two Christmas trees and never thought that one of them would be pink. But, well, here I am with two and one is pink and I am happy for it all.
