Everything Robin

My son is going through a stage. An everything ROBIN stage. Since he was Robin for Halloween he has been sleeping and breathing Robin. He has looked up Robin action figures, Robin masks, Robin costumes, Robin cars, Robin and Batman, in that order, now Robin is getting top billing, looked up posters of Robin and has drawn many pictures of Robin, big pictures, little pictures, medium size pictures all kinds of pictures of Robin are stacked in order on the card table in his bedroom which he uses for a desk. I am betting that sometime in the near future that tons of pictures of Robin will be decorating the walls in his room and maybe a few in the kitchen and living room. He has already asked to go to the dollar store for picture frames. He needs them to put his pictures of Robin in of course. He wants to design his own Robin tee shirt so he asked for fabric markers, which is a trip to Joann's in his mind, where they have everything crafty.

I can barely get him to write his name neatly but he doesn't hesitate to write ROBIN in big bold letters over his drawings, some of his drawings and it took him a half a minute to learn how to spell it. His spelling word however are a completely different thing. Unless one of them is Robin.  Even Bear Cat has a homemade Robin shirt and cape now. That is his attire which won't change until he moves on to the next superhero.

Before Robin everything was Batman. We have a batman bat taped to the wall in the living room to prove it. Before that it was Ironman. He took his money he saved that he got from Grandma and went to target and got an ironman action figure and then he requested one from his cousin for his birthday, the same one. Captain America was the superhero before. But, Captain America didn't last for too long. I guess the Captain wasn't as interesting as the rest.

So, later this week I guess we will be making a trip to the dollar store, where I get all my cleaning supplies, and most likely we will come out with a couple of picture frames for his Robin pictures and a couple of extra frames for his next superhero pictures coming in the near future to a wall near us.
